I often dig up some old paintings that just aren’t working for me and paint over them. This is one. To be honest I can’t even remember what was on the original and this one sat around in the studio for weeks, I’d work on it a little here and a little there, never really feeling good about it. finally I punched up some of the colors and varnished it with gloss medium, which deepens the colors nicely. It reminds me a little bit of Paul Klee for some reason.
