This one is a lot more intentional than most of my work, I actually went into this with a pretty clear idea of what I was going to do. I usually just let the paint show me the way. It's based on a series of small wintery paintings I did that were very similar but populated by crows. Maybe I should have named it No Crows in the Snow.I grew up in Clay County, it can be flat and desolate in the winter, but still have a minimalist kind of beauty.
